The American Idol season nine Orlando auditions, 10,000 Idol hopefuls, 4 judges, and 31 golden tickets turned out for auditions. American Idol Season 9 top 24, included one of the idol candidate is Matt Lawrence. The American Idol Orlando Audition aired Wednesday night on Fox Channel.
One of the Golden ticket contestant is Lawrence, 25–year-old from Starke, Flordia. He was introduced to America as a reformed ex-con who finally wanted to make his family proud.
Newstoday, Matt closes out "American Idol" in Orlando, robbed a bank with a BB gun when he was 15 and was jailed for a few years.
Matt seems to have learned from it, says "it hurt my family so much. I'd never seen my dad cry.... I auditioned for 'American Idol' because I wanna make my family proud."
